President Ronald Reagan liked to tell the story about the time he and Nancy visited a cemetery in Ireland. They came across an old gravestone, on which was carved this inscription:
Remember me as you pass by,
For as you are, so once was I.
And as I am you too will will be.
So be content to follow me.
The President said, “This had proven to be just a little too much for some Irishman, who scratched in the stone underneath, ‘To follow you I am content. I wish I knew which way you went.'”
