The Moon measures about 3,400 km (2,113 miles) in diameter. Australia flexes its continental muscles with an east-to-west stretch of nearly 4,000 km (2,485 miles).
Sure, the Moon may have more surface area overall (being a whole sphere and all), but let’s be honest—that’s still a pretty impressive stat for the Land Down Under.
