Progress Occurs When Leaders Lead

Harry S. Truman was born on May 8, 1884. The man from Independence, Missouri rose from unlikely circumstances to become the 33rd President of the United States. Although he was one of the least popular people in the country when he left office, he is today regarded by most presidential scholars as one of the greatest men to hold the presidency.

“Men make history and not the other way around. In periods where there is no leadership, society stands still. Progress occurs when courageous, skillful leaders seize the opportunity to change things for the better.”
